Greek Credit Crisis. It all began with the economic issues in the United States in 2008. When Greece was no longer allowed to borrow from the global financial markets, it began to go bankrupt in 2010. Greece was bailed out twice, but the debt was still too great for Greece to handle. The banks were closed and people were out on the streets and lining up to get their hard-earned money.
